Terms & Conditions
1.Purpose
These Terms and Conditions govern the private hire (VTC) transport services provided by Privelys SAS to its clients. Any booking implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2.Services
Privelys SAS offers two types of service:
— Transfer: a journey to a defined destination, one-way or same-day return. — Chauffeur Hire: a dedicated driver and vehicle for a set duration, suited to multi-stop itineraries, long waits and private or corporate events.
3.Booking & Confirmation
Bookings are made via the online form, by email or by phone. A booking is only confirmed upon written confirmation from Privelys SAS and, where applicable, receipt of the deposit. If the deposit is not received within the specified timeframe, Privelys SAS reserves the right not to confirm the booking.
4.Pricing
Prices are calculated according to the methods presented on privelys.com. All prices are inclusive of VAT. Standard motorway tolls are included. Certain exceptional charges (Mont Blanc tunnel, ferries, etc.) may be added and will be communicated in advance.
5.Payment
⚠ Cheque payments are not accepted.
Payment is made in advance by bank transfer or online card payment, or in the vehicle by cash or card. We recommend bank transfer — free for both parties. Proof of transfer initiation is sufficient to confirm your booking.
For any service over €150, a 30% deposit is required to confirm the booking, by bank transfer or online card payment. Failure to pay within the specified timeframe will result in automatic cancellation.
6.Cancellation & Modification
— Cancellation or modification more than 48 hours before pick-up: free of charge. Any deposit paid is fully refunded.
— Cancellation or modification between 48h and 2h before: 50% of the total amount will be charged. The deposit is retained and deducted from the amount due.
— Cancellation less than 2 hours before pick-up or no-show: 100% of the total amount will be charged. The deposit is retained.
Privelys SAS reserves the right to cancel a booking free of charge in cases of force majeure (extreme weather, natural disaster or any unforeseeable event making the journey impossible). The client will be notified as soon as possible and fully refunded if a deposit had been paid.
7.Waiting & Overruns
Transfer — airport or station wait In the event of a flight or train delay, the additional waiting time is provided at no extra charge, as the delay is beyond the client's control.
Return transfer — agreed waiting time exceeded 15 minutes of waiting between outward and return journeys are included free of charge. Beyond this, additional time is charged at €0.55/min. The driver will notify the client as the limit approaches. The surcharge is settled in the vehicle on return.
Chauffeur Hire — duration exceeded If the actual duration exceeds the booked package, additional time is charged at €60/h, billed by the minute. The driver will notify the client as the package end approaches. The surcharge is settled in the vehicle at the end of the service.
Traffic delays In the event of unforeseen traffic conditions (congestion, accidents, roadworks), no surcharge will be applied. Privelys SAS will notify the client as soon as possible.
8.Luggage & Equipment
Clients travel with their luggage at their own risk. Privelys SAS accepts no liability for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings.
In the event of damage caused by the driver during the service, the professional liability insurance of Privelys SAS applies.
9.Conduct on Board
Smoking, vaping and alcohol consumption are not permitted in the vehicle. Any disrespectful behaviour towards the driver may result in immediate termination of the service without refund.
10.Liability
Privelys SAS undertakes to make every effort to ensure punctuality and the smooth running of each service. In the event of an unforeseen delay due to traffic conditions, Privelys SAS cannot be held liable and no surcharge will be applied.
11.Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable resolution will be sought as a priority. Failing this, the courts within the jurisdiction of the registered office of Privelys SAS shall have sole competence.
